විසුද්ධජන විලාසිනී නාම අපදානට්ඨකථා (දෙවන භාගය) යනු ඛුද්දක නිකායට අයත් අපදාන පාලිය විස්තර කරමින් රචිත අටුවා ග්‍රන්ථයේ දෙවන කොටසයි. සයිමන් හේවාවිතාරණ ධර්ම පුස්තක මාලාවේ 43 වන වෙළුම ලෙස මෙම කෘතිය සංස්කරණය කර මුද්‍රණය කරවා ඇත.

මෙම වෙළුම රන්දොඹේ මහාචේතිය පිරිවෙන්පති පණ්ඩිත වලගෙදර සොමාලෝක තිස්ස හිමියන් විසින් සංස්කරණය කරන ලදුව, අමරපුර ගණපාමොක්ඛාචරිය ධම්මකිත්ති සිරි තොටගමුවේ පඤ්ඤාමොලි තිස්ස මහානායක හිමියන්ගේ පරීක්ෂාවෙන් සම්මත වී ඇත. මෙහි අපදාන පාලියේ එන ථෙරාපදාන අටුවා විස්තර ඇතුළත් වේ.

සෝමාවතී හේවාවිතාරණ භාරය මඟින් මෙම පුනර්මුද්‍රණය 2013 වර්ෂයේදී එස් ඇන්ඩ් එස් ප්‍රින්ටර්ස් ආයතනය මඟින් මුද්‍රණය කර ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කර ඇත.

PUBLISHERS NOTE

The late Mr. SIMON ALEXANDER HEWAVITARANE, who in his life time had begun to publish the TRIPITAKA, left a bequest for its completion after his death. He died suddenly on 17th January 1913 and in accordance with his wishes his Trustees had published the Commentaries on the Text in 49 volumes. After seventy years these books are no longer readily available.

His widow Mrs. SOMAWATI HEWAVITARANE who passed away on 10th January 1982 at the age of 94, had prior to her death, created the SOMAWATI HEWAVITARANE TRUST to carry on the good work started by her late husband and bequeathed her entire estate to this Trust.

We the Trustees of the Somawati Hewavitarane Trust, having seen the need to re-print the Commentaries, have undertaken this task to help both the student and teacher of the Dhamma and in the hope that this act of ours will help to preserve the Noble Teachings of the Blessed One for the benefit of the future generations and thereby prolong the life of the Buddha Sasana by many more thousands of years.

May the fruits of this meritorious act help the late Simon Alexander Hewavitarane and Somawati Hewavitarane Maha Upasikawa in Sansara and towards their final attainment of Nibbana.

With the publication of the second part of the Visuddhajana-vilasini, commentary to Apadana, we have much pleasure in placing before the public, the 43rd. Volume of the Simon Hewavitarne Bequest Series.

The editing of this volume has been done by the Ven. Pandit Walagedara Somaloka Tissa Thero, Principal, Mahachetiya Pirivena, Randombe, Ambalangoda, to whom our sincere thanks are due; our sense of gratitude is indeed great for the fact that the learned editor has finished the work within a short space of time, amidst a course of busy life and at great personal inconvenience.
